	Mairi was a featured author in Oneword's series 'The Children's Good Book Guide'. This comprised an interview with the author and Mairi's own reading of selected passages from Beyond the Hedge. The official launch of Beyond the Hedge was on the 19th of November 2005 at the 'Harbour Lights' in Irvine, Scotland - Mairi's home town and the setting for the novel and for the sequel, Between Two Worlds. A record of the event
	Mairi, flanked by Glenys Leask, Headmistress of Wellington School and Johnny Milne, illustrator.
	That launch was followed by a joint book signing at Mairi's alma mater, Wellington School, in Ayr.
